Our visit to the Museum of Innocence was organized through the collaboration between the
English Department and the Turkish Language and Literature Department at our school.
The English Department provided information to our preparatory class students about the
pre-visit work they should do, and they prepared worksheets on Orhan Pamuk’s
biography and his novel “The Museum of Innocence.” Our Turkish Language and
Literature teachers, on the other hand, conducted a study with our students on Orhan
Pamuk’s life and works after the mid-term break, during the first week back to school.
Our students then had the opportunity to visit the Museum of Innocence, which is within
walking distance from our school, together with their English teachers. During the visit
they were able to reinforce what they had learned in class.
