MUNoH 2026

From September 23 to 27, our MUN Club students participated in the 19th MUNoH International Conference, hosted at Meiendorf High School in Hamburg.

As part of our school development project’s key themes, “Reading, Writing and Communicating in the 21st Century” and “Growing Through Openness to Others”, this event gave our students the opportunity to apply their knowledge in an interdisciplinary setting, strengthen their intercultural awareness, and experience the pride of representing their school and their country.

The Conference

Schools from Ghana, Denmark, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, and Turkey took part in the conference. Our students participated in the debates, representing the delegations of Argentina, China, and Italy.

Şan T. and Kerem K. chaired the Women’s Rights and Disarmament Committees. Arda A. was named Best Delegate at the Human Rights Council. Our ambassadors, Yaman Y., Alp K., and Ezgi S., stood out with their impressive speeches during the opening ceremony. Alp K. and Mehmet T. also received the Best Duo Award.

Welcoming:

The families who hosted our students welcomed them warmly and took great care of them throughout their stay. The social activities organized as part of the conference were also very well planned and made the experience even more enjoyable. Staying with host families and participating in such an engaging and interactive event as MUN gave our students a unique opportunity to discover and better understand German culture, everyday life in Germany, and, of course, the city of Hamburg from a completely different perspective.

Experiences Shared by Our Students

Mehmet Ali T.: It was my first experience at an international conference. I made many friends, and we are still in touch today.

Alp Ezel K.: It was my first international conference, and it was a fascinating experience. Exploring the city with my friends was a wonderful adventure. The residential area where the school was located was also very pleasant.

Deren E.: I represented China on the Security Council (SC). The crisis that unfolded in our committee led to a conflict with the United States, which eventually resulted in a declaration of war. We ultimately failed, but I learned a great deal from the experience.

Birce Zarife T.:

It was a truly educational and enjoyable experience. For the first time, I participated in the Historical Security Council and experienced a crisis scenario. It was a challenging process that helped me improve my skills and develop arguments and ideas. I also had a wonderful time with my host family. I hope to participate in MUNoH again next year!
